Hello, my name is Karen and I run macSoap, a independent business based in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, making and selling small batch, hand made soaps and skincare.

All of my soaps contain Scottish Botanicals, and most of our skincare too, the majority of which is hand selected and gathered from my own fields, personally by myself.

Our family croft is situated high in the hills above Loch Ness, and the fields have not had any interference for decades.  The lovely meadows have an abundance of wild flora, some of which is used in our products.

Everything is made here in our workshop, using our own botanicals, we can proudly say  "Made In Scotland"

macSoap was named partly because we wanted a Scottish name, but also because one of our 3 rescue dogs is called "Mac", so this resonated us on more than one level.  Mac, and the other dogs, Struie and Harris, are all German Wire Haired Pointers, a very loyal breed, which need lots of exercise.  All are rescue dogs, which we love to bits.  An image of Mac's head (which I drew), appears on our labels.  The picture here shows Harris helping to take product photos!!
